Climate Fresk workshop for IEU members

IEU members are invited to join our free Climate Fresk workshop in Ultimo on Tuesday 1 October at 10am.

If you need a refresher or want a deeper understanding of the core causes and consequences of climate change, Climate Fresk is a new and interesting way to learn more about it.

Climate Fresk involves understanding the facts (based on IPCC science) through creativity, emotion, and action. The workshop displays the issue of climate change in a visual way that shows the causal and logical order of events. All members of the IEU Environment Committee have completed the workshop and found it to be informative and transformative.

What is Climate Fresk?

This is a 3-hour collaborative and interactive session using the Climate Fresk program. These Fresks (murals) originated in France in 2015 and now run in over 150 countries with over 1.6 million participants completing the session. It initially involves a deck of information cards, and the group works together rather than being lectured to. Then discussion and action possibilities emerge in the second part of the program.

Registration

Limited places available. We have 16 spots and will be facilitating two Fresk workshops in groups of 8. The Fresk will be run by two IEU Officers who are trained Fresk facilitators.

Registration closes Friday 20 September 2024.

Note: This is not a session for those who deny the science of climate change. This is for union members who in good faith want to understand more about this vital global issue.
